Hinged Bushing Plates

Hinged bushing plates are precise, heavy-duty bushing plate assemblies made for large-scale production jigs. 
  • Carr Lane offers three ordering options for hinged bushing plates online. Choose between the complete assembly, or just the base kit or arm. 
  • Arms can be ordered separately to use as a replacement or to switch tooling. Hinged bushing plates are available in three sizes. 

Headless Carr Lock® Clamps

The Headless Carr Lock® System allows accurately locating and clamping at the same time, with just the turn of a hex wrench. Ideal for mounting quick-change tooling on a subplate while taking minimal real estate on the top of your fixture. 
  • The Headless Carr Lock® Clamp comes in two variants, primary (-1) and secondary (-2). 
  • The primary clamp is used to accurately locate your plate while the looser fit on the secondary clamp reduces binding. Made in USA, available in 13mm, 16mm, and 20mm Shank Diameters.

Products For Robotic Welding

Carr Lock® Clamps

The Carr Lock® System allows accurate, simultaneous locating and clamping with just the turn of a hex wrench. In robotic welding applications, the Carr Lock® system is ideal for mounting quick-change tooling components on a subplate. Each mounting point consists of three components: 

  • a Carr Lock® Clamp, with a precisely ground shank; 
  • a Carr Lock® Liner Bushing or clearance hole in the top plate; 
  • a Carr Lock® Receiver Bushing in the subplate.

The compact assembly of the Carr Lock® System provides considerable hold-down force, together with incredible +/-.0005" repeatability. Proudly Made in the USA.

Air-Powered Clamps

Pneumatic Toggle Clamps utilized for robotic welding are similar in design to standard hold-down toggle clamps, but they are operated by a double-acting air cylinder rather than manually.
  • Air-Powered Swing Clamps are a pneumatic version of our popular hydraulic Swing Clamps, for applications requiring light clamping force. 
  • The clamping arm on Carr Lane pneumatic toggle clamps swings clear for easy loading using a sturdy helical-cam mechanism operated by a double-acting air cylinder.

LIFE-EX® Diamond Pins
Now available with LIFE-EX® coating!

Popular sizes of Carr Lane Diamond Pins are now available with our proprietary LIFE-EX coating. This PVD coating is very hard, abrasion resistant, and slippery, resulting in a welding fixture component that has a longer lifecycle perfect for use in high-production applications. This extended lifecycle allows these items to remain in production longer with less need for replacement than standard uncoated items.

  • Include a chamfered tip for easy part loading, and a shoulder to resist downward forces – both important advantages over standard dowel pins.
  • Often used together with Round Pins to locate from two machined holes in a workpiece, or to align two pieces of a fixture, without binding. 
  • Diamond pins are relieved, to locate only in 1 axis. Head and shank diameters are concentric to within .0005" TIR. Made in the USA.

Popular sizes of Round Locating Pins are now available with our proprietary LIFE-EX coating. This PVD coating is very hard, abrasion resistant, and slippery, resulting in a welding fixture component that has a longer lifecycle for high-production applications.   • Round are precision locating pins with a chamfered tip for easy part loading, and a shoulder to resist downward forces – important advantages over standard dowel pins.

  • Round Pins are also extremely useful as side locators. Head and shank diameters are concentric to within .0005" TIR. Made in the USA.
