Rotating Modules are universally usable in assembly and handling processes. Horizontal-Axis Rotating Modules are a double-supported rotation axis that can compensate high axial and radial forces. These modules provide full 360° rotation in both directions, and indexing is possible by one-hand operation. Due to special bearings, these modules are extremely resistant to shocks and thrusts. The design of the rotating module allows smooth operation in applications with light as well as with heavy loads. When using the this module in assembly processes, component parts can be rotated quickly and safely, and can be accessed ergonomically from five sides.

The module version shown here, with indexing engagement by foot pedal, is a compact and practical setup. It consists of a basic rotating module with integrated indexing mechanism, and an operating unit with foot pedal, connected by a 6-ft hydraulic hose. This flexible connection allows placement of the operating unit at the most favorable ergonomic position. By pushing the foot pedal 35° downward, the index position is released and the workpiece or fixture can be rotated. Rotation is performed manually in either direction. Whenever the foot pedal is released, the index bolt engages automatically into the next indexing position. Operation by foot pedal allows the operator to keep both hands free. Available indexing positions are 8 x 45°, 6 x 60°, 4 x 90° and 3 x 120°.
