Platform Tooling Plates – Modular, Heavy 5/8" (630mm)

Raised tooling plate for horizontal machining centers, incorporating our Heavy (5/8-11) modular system. Allows tool access to low workpieces that would normally be below minimum spindle height on horizontal machining centers. Cast iron material provides superior accuracy, dimensional stability, and vibration dampening. Finish machined to tight tolerances, with a grid of multipurpose holes spaced at 2.0000" within .0008" of true position. Universal mounting holes fit almost any inch or metric slot spacing. The tooling plates shown here fit 630mm square pallets.

Application Information

Platform Tooling Plates allow tool access to workpieces that would normally be below minimum spindle height.

Multipurpose Holes (Heavy)

Each multipurpose hole on a Heavy System MF50 tooling plate or block has a 5/8" ID bushing on top with a 5/8-11 threaded insert below it. Multipurpose holes are located in a precise 2.0000" grid pattern, spaced within ±.0008 inches of true position. Locating Screws, with a precision ground shoulder, are used to locate and fasten at the same time.

Mounting

JIS mounting only (locating from two reference edges). Mounting holes fit almost any USA or metric slot spacing.
